Laxmmi Bomb, Hindi remake of the super hit Tamil-language horror comedy, Kanchana, made headlines recently when the director, Raghava Lawrence, decided to step down from the Hindi version. He broke the news through his Twitter handle and mentioned that he walked away from the director’s post because the official first look of Laxmmi Bomb was revealed without his knowledge, which he called disrespecting and disappointing.

After his exit, reports suggested that the movie producers started looking out for his replacement but the lead actor, Akshay Kumar, stepped in and sorted out the grievances among them. Raghava Lawrence took to Twitter to announce the news once again. He tweeted, “Hi Dear Friends and Fans…! As you wished I would like to let you know that I am back on board as a director of #LaxmmiBomb with @akshaykumar (sic)”

The Hindi version of the horror comedy will star Akshay Kumar as the central character while Kiara Advani has been roped for the female lead.
