Indian Dancer, choreographer and actor Raghav Juyal have been working at his best to help people of rural Uttarakhand battle the ongoing second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Raghav opens up about the inspiration behind his initiative. He informs that his acquaintances and he have received multiple distress calls from rural Uttarakhand for oxygen cylinders and other life-saving equipment for Covid-19 positive patients. Juyal got in touch with some government officers to go through the situation and was told that help from all quarters at this time is crucial. The government has assured their support to them for Uttarakhand in all possible manner.

Raghav who is a Dehradun boy has expressed his gratitude to all those who are helping him in this noble cause.
He says that he is thankful to his friends, acquaintances, followers, the volunteers, along with friends from the TV and Film Industry, some government officials, and donors from around the world. Juyal is surprised and overwhelmed to see how people are standing up for each other in this initiative.

Raghav and his team, with the help of government officers and volunteers, has succeeded in sending across some D Type cylinders to help Pauri Garhwal. This served as a motivation and the team now has many more oxygen cylinders, medicines and beds facilities coming for hill districts to save the lives of poor villagers in the far-flung hills of the Himalayas.

Presently over 130 volunteers from different parts of the country, are supporting him to help patients with the availability of ambulances, oxygen beds, oxygen cylinders, ICU beds, blood donors, injections and medicines. In more than 10 districts, people are also managing logistics.

The dancer is also facing some challenges such as the availability of amenities, equipment, medicines, supplies etc in remote parts. There is also a vast non-availability of skilled technicians to operate oxygen cylinders and concentrators, so is the management of logistics. Raghav also appeals for more fund to carry on with his initiative. He has started a fundraising campaign and aims to cover approx 5000 villages.

Upon working alongside Covid-19 affected people, Juyal informs that his family and he has recovered from Covid recently but couldn’t get the time to rest as the second wave of Covid made its way into remote villages. They are following the protocols like a double mask, PPE kit for volunteers working on the ground and sanitisation of supplies as well.

When questioned about critics calling this a publicity stunt, he says that the critics are always having an opinion about anything and everything but that will not stop him to do whatever he can in his power to help the people of Uttarakhand.
