Cryptocurrency has never been this prominent throughout its journey as it is today. More and more internet users are learning about the benefits and flaws of cryptocurrency and it is getting accepted by many global companies. While the American business magnate Elon Musk hyped the adoption of cryptocurrency, rapper Raftaar is preaching the crypto and became the first Indian artist to accept cryptocurrency as a fee.

Raftaar recently closed a deal for a virtual performance in the second week of July and he accepted cryptocurrency as the mode of payment. The 60-minute event is to be hosted in Canada for a private gathering of hundred people and Raftaar says that it is a baby step towards a new revolution.

“I’ve always been an ardent admirer of blockchain technology. I’ve always wondered why artistes and managers alike haven’t explored the potential of this disruptive medium. Nevertheless, I’ve finally taken the baby steps in this direction and all the credit goes to my manager, Ankit Khanna for making this dream a reality for me,” said Raftaar.

Earlier, global artists like 50 Cent, Mariah Carey, Sia, G-Easy, Fall Out Boy, and the Backstreet Boys amongst others have already approved the transaction in cryptocurrency and many more artists from the music industry are leaning towards crypto.
