Radhika Apte and Manav Kaul starrer ‘Ghoul’ will be releasing on 24th August 2018 on Netflix. It is the second series from India for Netflix. Directed by Patrick Graham ‘Ghoul’ is a three episode Indo-American supernatural mini-series based on an Arabic folklore, co-produced by Anurag Kashyap, Phantom Films and the makers of ‘Insidious’ Ivanehoe Pictures and ‘Get Out’ Blumhouse Productions.
In an Advanced Interrogation Centre in a remote area, which maybe a home of evil spirits, the supremely talented, consistent performer and efficient Interrogating Officer Nida Rahim played by Radhika Apte is brought in for a special task. She is a patriotic who doesn’t mind going an extra mile for her country as she hands over her father to the authorities for unlawful practices.
Her officer in charge Lieutenant Dacunha played by Manav Kaul gives her a special task to get out a confession from a feared terrorist Ali Saeed Al Yacoub played by Mahesh Balraj, who turns the tables on his interrogators, revealing their dark secrets, ahead of which she might find herself under a comes face supernatural threat from him.
The word ‘Ghoul’ which is used in the Arabic folklore means, an evil spirit or phantom that devours on dead bodies. The show is an interesting mix of drama and supernatural.
