Featuring Salman Khan in and as Radhe, the action-thriller has been making noise lately related to its release. While the movie was slated for a theatrical release on Eid last year, the production was halted due to the Coronavirus pandemic and the associated nationwide lockdown causing a delay in release. Now that the movie is ready for a release on Eid, Salman Khan has confirmed that his next will not be released directly over OTT platform skipping the traditional theatrical release as earlier speculated.
Responding to the plea of theatre owners and exhibitors, Salman Khan, who is also the producer of the movie, took to his social media handle to issue a statement addressing theatre owners. “Sorry it has taken me a long time to revert to all the theatre owners. It’s a big decision to make during these times. I understand the financial problems that theatre owners/exhibitors are going through and I would like to help them by releasing Radhe in theatres,” the statement read.
The actor also requested the theatre owners to take utmost precautions against the viral threat in the cinema halls. “In return, I would expect them to take utmost amount of care and precautions for the audience who would come to the theatre to watch Radhe. The commitment was of Eid and it will be Eid 2021, inshallah. Enjoy Radhe this year in theatres on Eid…God willing,” Salman Khan concluded his statement.
Featuring Salman Khan, Disha Patani and Randeep Hooda in the key roles, the Prabhu Deva directorial, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, will be released in theatres on 12 May.
