While Akshay Kumar’s upcoming horror comedy, Laxmmi Bomb, continues to be the centre of attraction for all the good and bad reasons, the makers are leaving no stones unturned to promote the movie with all they have got. However, as per a report, Fox Star Studios, which is bankrolling the project, declined the request of lead actor Akshay Kumar to promote a song of the movie in Dubai.
The first trailer of Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer Laxmmi Bomb released on the 9th of October and the makers are to release its first song on 18th October, considering the number lucky for the lead actor. The song which is up for release is titled Burj Khalifa and therefore, Akshay Kumar reportedly suggested to have a launch event at Burj Khalifa in Dubai, UAE. However, the producers politely declined the request owing to budget constraint and the current financial condition of the entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has fallen prey to the keyboard warriors and trollers with the hashtag #ShameOnUAkshayKumar trending. Amid the controversy of Tanishq commercial showing a Hindu girl married into a Muslim family, netizens pointed out that Akshay’s upcoming comedy-drama has the lead character ‘Asif’ played by Akshay Kumar in love with ‘Priya’ played by Kiara Advani.
Helmed by Raghava Lawrence, Laxmmi Bomb is an official Hindi remake of the blockbuster Tamil film, Muni 2: Kanchana with Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in the lead characters. The horror-comedy is slated to release on the streaming platform, Disney+ Hotstar on November 9.
