Coronavirus pandemic has once again gained a grip around the world and every country is reporting a steep rise in fresh COVID-19 cases after the emergence of a new variant. While many Indian states have announced curbs to contain the spread, Bollywood celebrities continue to test positive and renowned Ekta Kapoor confirms to have been infected.
Earlier today, actor John Abraham took to his social media handle to inform his fans that he has been tested positive for COVID-19 along with his wife, Priya Runchal. Hours after, television and film producer Ekta Kapoor confirmed testing positive for the disease even after taking all the necessary precautions. “Despite taking precautions I have tested covid positive. I am fine and I request everyone who has come in contact with me to please test themselves,” her Instagram note reads.

This unfortunate and worrying news come in after many renowned actors including Arjun Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, Nora Fatehi, Rhea Kapoor, Shilpa Shirodkar, and Arjun Bijlani tested positive for COVID-19. With a surge in new COVID-19 cases, government bodies have imposed new sets of restrictions and have asked the citizens to take as many precautions as possible to stay safe and break the chain of infection.
