Priyanka Chopra Jonas has launched a fundraiser to help her home country India amid the ongoing crises of the Covid-19 pandemic. She took to Instagram today and shared a video in which she can be seen talking about how important it is for everyone to come forward, take initiatives and help the country in this dreadful second wave.

Chopra says that India, her home, her motherland is suffering the world’s worst cases of Covid crisis, and urges everyone to help. She needs people to help the people of the country who are dying in record numbers every single day. She talks about how there is the illness to be found everywhere, and this is not stopping anywhere but only continuing to spread rapidly and killing people at great speed and scale. Alongside the clip, she informs in writing that she has set up a fundraiser with GiveIndia.

GiveIndia is one of the largest organization in India which is focused on currently providing Covid relief. She wants people to lend a hand and advises them to do so in any way they like. She says that one can donate whatever they can spare and it will truly make a difference. She informs that 63 million people follow her today on social media and if even 100,000 of these donates as little as $10, that would amount to $1 Million, which is a huge contribution.

She safeguards people’s interest by informing them that their donation will be received directly by healthcare physical infrastructures which include various Covid care centres, medical isolation centres, and oxygen generation plants and other medical equipment, and also towards the vaccine support and mobilisation departments. She quoted “no one is safe unless everyone is safe.”

Chopra has deep requested people to donate and revealed that her husband, and musician Nick Jonas and she have already have donated and will continue to do so. She reminds how everyone has witnessed the situation earlier and how far and wide the virus can spread and tells that an ocean in between should make no difference. No one is safe unless everyone is safe is what she believes in. She also appreciated the support of the people and finds it very heartening to see so many of them coming forward to help in any ways that they can. She pushes people by saying that we together need to beat this virus and to do everything required in our power for each one of us.
