Priyanka Chopra has become one of the most sought after celebrity in the Indian film industry and also made her mark in the American entertainment industries. While the actress recently made a comeback in Bollywood with the family drama The Sky Is Pink opposite Farhan Akhtar, she has unlocked another achievement.
According to a recent survey conducted by a US-based SEO tool company, SEMrush, Priyanka Chopra has become the most searched Indian celebrity online. According to the survey, Priyanka Chopra was searched by the masses from October 2018 to October 2019 and has a monthly search volume of 4.2 million, which is higher than that of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, combined.
For the month of October 2019 alone, the Baywatch actress was searched for 2.74 million times while Dabangg Khan was searched for 1.83 million times. Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone and Sunny Leone are not far behind Priyanka Chopra with 3 million and 1.7 million monthly search volumes, respectively. If only male actors have to be considered, Salman Khan reclaimed the top position followed by Shah Rukh Khan and Amrish Puri on the second and third spots, respectively.
Other statistics mentioned in the survey revealed that the actress was searched for a whopping 13.6 million times in December 2018 when she tied a knot with Nick Jonas. On the work front, the actress was recently seen in Shonali Bose directorial The Sky Is Pink and has a Hollywood movie, Isn’t It Romantic, directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson and Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Hira Mandi in the pipeline.
