Prime Video has officially unveiled Maalik as its next exclusive global streaming release, available to watch starting September 5. Directed by Pulkit and produced by Kumar Taurani and Jay Shewakramani, the film brings together a stellar ensemble led by Rajkummar Rao alongside Prosenjit Chatterjee, Manushi Chhillar, Huma Qureshi, Anshuman Pushkar, and Swanand Kirkire.
Set in the turbulent city of Allahabad during the 1980s, Maalik traces the journey of Deepak (played by Rajkummar Rao), a young man from a humble farming family who is drawn into the underworld. As he rises through the ranks of crime, he transforms into Maalik, the city’s most dreaded and commanding figure.
The film blends raw action with layers of emotional depth and political drama, exploring themes of ambition, corruption, betrayal, and the dangerous cost of power.
