Pratik Gandhi’s acting career took off after the humongous success of Sony LIV’s web series, Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story. Ever since the web series started streaming online, Pratik became an overnight internet sensation and he has been approached for a number of big banner movies. A recent that he has accepted will feature him opposite Vidya Balan.
Earlier it was reported that Vidya Balan is collaborating with Tumhari Sulu makers, Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar of Ellipsis Entertainment, for a realistic slice of drama film. According to the latest source, Pratik Gandhi has been approached to be paired with Vidya romantically onscreen and reportedly, he has given his nod. The movie is said to have two leading pairs and Vidya-Pratik will be one of the two couples. The makers are yet to finalize the second couple in terms of casting.
The untitled drama will also mark the directorial debut of ad filmmaker Shirsha Guha Thaurta and will challenge the social patriarchy through its plot. The movie is expected to go on the floors by the end of 2021 as Vidya Balan is currently busy with her other commitments.
