Recent buzz suggested that Laapataa Ladies star Pratibha Ranta was the frontrunner to play the female lead opposite Kartik Aaryan in Naagzilla. However, a source close to the production has now dismissed these claims, confirming that the actress has not been approached for the film.
“There’s absolutely no truth to the speculation,” the source clarified. “Pratibha Ranta has not been in talks for Naagzilla. She is currently reviewing several scripts and is already busy preparing for her next major project.”
While fans were eager to see Pratibha in the fantasy action entertainer, her focus remains firmly on The Revolutionaries, an ambitious period drama directed by Nikkhil Advani. The film, set during the Indian freedom struggle, promises to explore powerful untold stories from the country’s fight for independence.
The Revolutionaries features an impressive ensemble cast including Rohit Saraf, Bhuvan Bam, Gurfateh Pirzada, and Jason Shah. It is slated to premiere on Amazon Prime Video in 2026.
In addition to this project, Pratibha Ranta is also collaborating with Konkona Sen Sharma on another exciting film, further solidifying her rise as one of the most promising young talents in the industry.
