Prabhas is gearing up for his next big project, Spirit, an action-packed cop thriller directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Pranay Reddy Vanga, is set to commence shooting in May 2025, with pre-production already in full swing.
According to industry sources, Spirit will be one of the most commercially ambitious films of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s career. The writing process is almost complete, and Sandeep is ready to take the film to the floors this summer. He is reimagining the cop genre with a gripping cat-and-mouse chase, aiming to deliver a film that will leave audiences stunned.
Prabhas will be seen as a leaner avatar because of his role as an intense and unconventional cop. He has already started training to achieve the required physique and is fully committed to bringing this character to life. He has dedicated bulk dates to Spirit from May 2025. The filming will kick off in Hyderabad, with several schedules planned across India and international locations.
Slated for a grand theatrical release in the second half of 2026, Spirit is already one of the most anticipated films in Indian cinema. This marks Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s third collaboration with Bhushan Kumar after the blockbuster successes of Kabir Singh and Animal. With a massive ensemble cast being finalized, Spirit promises to be India’s biggest cop thriller yet.
Following the completion of Spirit, Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Bhushan Kumar will shift their focus to Animal Park, led by Ranbir Kapoor, which is expected to go on floors in 2027.
