Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan starrer mythological drama, Adipurush, is currently one of the most anticipated upcoming movies of the country. While the makers of the movie kickstarted the filming earlier this year in Mumbai and finished 60 days of shooting, the rising COVID-19 fresh cases put a halt to the production.

Maharashtra had earlier announced restrictions on the filming of movies, web series and television shows followed by a complete lockdown. While the majority of the projects are affected due to the restrictions, the team of Adipurush are not willing to miss the deadline and postpone the release of the movie. The makers have now zeroed down to Hyderabad as the new shooting base of the movie and the team will be heading down south soon.

According to a source close to the production of the movie, Adipurush still has over three months of shooting remaining and the makers are trying to film the project while adhering to the precautionary measures. Major chunks of the movie will be shot indoors with heavy VFX work and the team have selected a Hyderabad studio to continue filming of Adipurush.

Helmed by Om Raut, Adipurush is a modern take on the Indian mythological story featuring Prabhas as the protagonist. The movie also features Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Sunny Singh in key roles. The makers had earlier announced the release date of the movie to be 11 August 2022.
