Shakun Batra’s directorial Gehraiyaan starring Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Pandey and Dhairya Karwa will now be released on February 11, 2022 on Amazon Prime. The announcement was made by Karan Johar on Wednesday with a series of new posters featuring the lead actors.
Gehraiyaan was supposed to release on digital platform Amazon prime on january 25, 2022. But now it will be released on february 11, 2022. Producer Karan Johar made the film’s postpone announcement and shared the newly released posters via instagram. He wrote, “We can see the shore, till then we’ll dive into your love! #GehraiyaanOnPrime releases Feb 11.”
The highly anticipated movie stars deepika padukone, siddhant chaturvedi, Ananya Pandey and Dhairya Karwa in lead roles. Actor Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapur will also be starring in pivotal roles.
Taking it to her instagram, Actress Deepika Padukone also shared the posters featuring herself, Ananya Pandey and Siddhant Chaturvedi wherein she wrote,”A little birthday present for all the love you have showered us with ! #GehraiyaanOnPrime releasing 11th February!”
Talking about his film, director Shakun Batra had earlier said, “Gehraiyaan for me is not just a movie. It is a journey into the intricacies of human relationships, it is a mirror into modern adult relationships, how we traverse through the maze of feelings and emotions and how each step, each decision we make affects our lives and the lives of those around. I am immensely glad to have taken this journey with the incredible team and Dharma Productions, the exceptionally talented cast and crew, and now Amazon Prime Video. I believe audiences will relate to this film very closely and I am looking forward to receiving the reactions from the audiences across the globe.”
The teaser and the stills of the movie were well received by the audiences. The makers of the film were all set to launch the trailer of the film in Alibaug. However, owing to the steep rise in COVID 19 cases, the team decided not to go ahead with the launch.
The Film is jointly produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production, Viacom18 Studios in association with Shakun Batra’s Jouska films.
