Katrina Kaif’s recent outing with Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Ishaan Khatter, Phone Bhoot, had been one of the most anticipated horror movies. The movie was released this Friday and had a great start at the box office with the audience queuing at the ticket counters. With mostly positive reviews after the first day of release, the horror comedy saw a significant jump on Saturday and is likely to grow further.
On the first day of its release, Phone Bhoot saw a huge crowd running to the theatres mainly in the evening, and the night shows made the film collect 2.05 Cr. Following the positive response and mostly encouraging reviews from the critics, the movie hit the right chord and saw a 35% jump on the second day with a collection figure of Rupees 2.75 crores. With the craze building up and the lack of other movies performing at the box office, the numbers are likely to grow on the weekend.
However, the film is likely to drop performance in the evening shows on Sunday since there is India vs Zimbabwe T20 World Cup match that will impact the journey. So far, the spoof comedy has collected rupees 4.80 crores and it will be interesting to see how it holds on the weekdays.
