The internet has provided the current generation with unprecedented power and netizens are using it in every way possible. The rise of social media and cheap internet has empowered everyone to comment on anything under the sun and created a furore around every topic. Recently, a Bangalore-based model-turned-makeup artist, Hitesha, posted a video on her social media handle accusing Zomato delivery executive, Kamaraj, of assault.
The video went viral in no time and divided the internet into two groups, one in support of the lady and the other in support of the accused. While the Indian food delivery start-up is trying to take an unbiased call in the row and assisting both the parties with equal resources, actress Parineeti Chopra has come out in support of Kamaraj and demanded truth to be reported publically.
Taking to the micro-blogging website, Parineeti tweeted, “Zomato India – PLEASE find and publicly report the truth.. If the gentleman is innocent (and I believe he is), PLEASE help us penalise the woman in question. This is inhuman, shameful and heartbreaking .. Please let me know how I can help.. #ZomatoDeliveryGuy @zomatoin.”
