The 2012 comedy-drama, OMG: Oh My God!, has a separate fan base for its unique plot and the movie remains a memorable experience for all age genders. After a decade, the makers have decided to turn it into a franchise with a sequel and Pankaj Tripathi has been roped in to play the lead.

It was earlier informed that a sequel to OMG: Oh My God! is in the making and the latest report informs that Pankaj Tripathi has commenced filming for the highly-anticipated project which went on the floors in Mumbai. The actor will be canning his solo sequences over the next few days. The movie also features Yami Gautam and Akshay Kumar, who will be joining the crew soon.

The social comedy sequel will be headlined by Pankaj Tripathi and Yami will be playing the female lead. Akshay Kumar is said to be reprising his role of Lord Krishna and his avatar in the sequel as well and will join the crew in October to shoot his sequences. The movie will be co-produced by Akshay Kumar and Ashwin Varde and they spend over a decade coming up with another witty and interesting script. Filmmaker Amit Rai is directing the project.
