After the shocking winners’ list of the Golden Globe Awards 2020, everyone had been eagerly waiting for the prestigious 92nd Academy Awards. Last night the host-less Oscars was held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and the star-studded night witness the greatest of the stars as they took home the coveted trophy. While highly-loved crime drama, Joker, made the lead with 11 nominations, followed by 10 nominations to period war drama 1917, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and The Irishman, each, the results came in resonance to the Golden Globe Awards.
The Best Picture award went to Parasite becoming the first foreign-language film in the history of Academy Awards to bag the top prize. Joaquin Phoenix with his critically acclaimed performance in the crime thriller, Joker, took home the Best Actor trophy while Renée Zellweger won the Best Actress award for the movie Judy.
