Post the success of Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh, the original movie Arjun Reddy gained recognition along with its actor Vijay Deverakonda. While Vijay has been a known name in Southern part of the Indian film industry, he has been getting great response for his projects from around the country.
The actor has been grabbing headlines, lately, for his upcoming much-speculated action-drama Fighter which is being helmed by Puri Jagannadh. While the movie is expected to go on the floors anytime, the female lead of the actioner is still under veils. Earlier reports suggested that Janhvi Kapoor would be sharing the screen space with the Telugu superstar but the latest reports are not in favour of the Dhadak actress.
As per the latest media reports, Pati Patni Aur Woh actress Ananya Panday has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Vijay Deverakonda in the upcoming action-drama Fighter. As per a source close to the development of the project, the makers of the movie had approached Ananya Panday for the multi-lingual movie and she liked the concept and gave her nod to the action-packed love story. While there has been no official confirmation regarding the casting yet, if it turns out to be true, we might get to see a fresh pairing.
Meanwhile, Ananya Panday is busy shooting for her next, Khali Peeli, with Ishaan Khattar. The actress will also be sharing screen space with Gully Boy fame Siddhant Chaturvedi and Deepika Padukone in the untitled Shakun Batra directorial.
