No connection between Bhooth Bangla and Bhool Bhulaiyaa, clarifies T-Series

T-Series has firmly shut down rumours linking Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Bhooth Bangla to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise. Addressing the speculation head-on, the production house clarified that there is absolutely no creative or narrative connection between the two projects.

The clarification came after online chatter claimed that the story of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 had been reworked and repurposed for Bhooth Bangla. Responding to these claims, Shiv Chanana, co-producer at T-Series, called the reports completely unfounded. He stated that the studio has never received any script from Priyadarshan or his team related to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise.

Chanana further stressed that Bhool Bhulaiyaa is a franchise fully owned and creatively controlled by T-Series. According to him, any development linked to the brand happens strictly within the studio and under its supervision, just as it did for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and its sequel. He added that the rumours suggesting otherwise have no basis in fact and do not reflect how the franchise is handled.

Industry voices have also pointed out that T-Series considers the Bhool Bhulaiyaa brand a valuable intellectual property. As a result, any attempt to imply an indirect association without authorisation could potentially lead to legal action.

With this official clarification now on record, the studio has urged fans and viewers to ignore unverified reports and rely only on confirmed announcements regarding Bhooth Bangla and other upcoming projects featuring Akshay Kumar.
