Instead, fans will be treated to a surprising cameo by Nicolas Cage as well, portraying Superman. The film explores different versions of heroes across the Multiverse, and Cage’s performance, although a cameo, was praised by the director, who expressed a lifelong dream of working with the actor.

After Tim Burton’s failed Superman Lives project was abandoned 25 years ago, Cage will finally have the opportunity to play the iconic character on screen.
