Oscar-winning Hollywood actor, Nicholas Cage, tied the knot to girlfriend Riko Shibata in an intimate ceremony in Las Vegas last month. The couple had been dating each other for over a year and decided to take the next step in their relationship in a private affair.
Confirming the marriage, Nicholas Cage said, “It is true and we are very happy. It was a very small and intimate wedding at the hotel in Las Vegas.” Nicholas reportedly married Riko at the Wynn Casino and Hotel on February 16 with Reverend Richard E. Walter serving as officiant. The date was chosen to honour the birthday of Cage’s late father. The actor wore a Tom Ford tuxedo while the bride wore a handmade Japanese bridal kimono from Kyoto.
The Ghost Rider actor proposed Riko with a black diamond and black gold ring sent to her in Japan. “Her favourite colour is black so she wanted the black gold and the black diamond. I customized and personalized it and I actually sent it to her FedEx,” he said.
Nicholas Cage reportedly met Riko Shibata in Japan and the two have been together shortly after the dissolution of Cage’s last marriage with Erika Koike which lasted four days. After dating for months, Nicholas and Riko got engaged on a video call amid the pandemic.
