Indian athletes and teams are making the nation proud by showing their exceptional skill at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 and the entire country cannot resist praising the hard work. However, many celebrities have been goofing up their congratulatory tweets ever since the games begin. The latest to join the bandwagon is Farhan Akhtar who mistakenly praised the women’s hockey team while the men in blue brought the medal home.

After the historic win of the Indian Men’s Hockey Team at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 by defeating Germany for bronze, Farhan Akhtar took to his Twitter handle to praise the players. However, he started his tweet with “Go Girls!!!” mistaking the winning team. In a couple minutes, the actor realised his mistake and deleted the tweet to correct his mistake but the internet is written in ink.

He wrote, “Go Girls!!! So proud of #teamIndia for showing exemplary fighting spirit and bringing in our 4th medal..super stuff. #Tokyo2020 #Hockey.” Trolls kept pouring in even after Farhan congratulated the right team in the corrected tweet. While some of them were harsh, the majority of the trolls were just fun and understood human error.
