With the ongoing probe in Sushant Singh Rajput’s alleged suicide, many Bollywood celebrities got under the radar of NCB for drug links. While Rhea Chakraborty was arrested earlier after her confessions to the NCB team, Deepika Padukone along with Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh had been summoned by the NCB for further investigation.
According to the sources close to the probe, NCB officials have revealed that Deepika Padukone was the admin of the WhatsApp group where the drugs were being discussed. For the uninitiated, alleged chats of Deepika Padukone and her manager, Karishma Prakash, surfaced online in which the two were seen discussing contraband substances. Post which, Deepika Padukone and her talent manager were summoned by the NCB for further probe their association in the alleged drug nexus.
Meanwhile, Rakul Preet Singh appeared before the NCB and confessed before the investigating officers that she used to talk to Rhea Chakraborty about drugs and also kept drugs but for Rhea only. The actress said that she didn’t consume drugs but only kept it with her for her friend. Deepika Padukone’s manager was also interrogated by the NCB team to extract further details about their involvement in drugs.
The reports also suggest that Deepika’s manager Karishma Prakash and Sushant Singh Rajput’s manager Jaya Saha were also the part of the discussed WhatsApp group.
