After the untimely demise of Bollywood and television actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June, the entire Indian entertainment industry came under the radar of Narcotics Control Bureau. While the agency has been raiding residences of many renowned Bollywood and television actors, comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbhachiyaa was searched for potential clues and links to the alleged drug nexus.

As per the media reports, NCB conducted a raid at the residence of Bharti Singh and her husband in Mumbai in links with the drug nexus. Following the raid, Haarsh was taken by the NCB in a white van while Bharti Singh followed in a red Mercedes. According to an NCB official quoted by news agency PTI, NCB yielded a ‘small quantity of cannabis’ during their raid at the comedian’s flat in Mumbai. While more details about the raid are awaited from the officials, reports suggest that Bharti’s name emerged during the interrogation of a drug peddler.

Earlier, TV actors Abigail Pande and Sanam Johar’s residence was raided by NCB in the ongoing probe. While no details of the investigation were revealed by the anti-drug agency, the couple was frequently visiting the NCB office. More recently, Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal’s house was searched by the NCB officials after the brother of his girlfriend was taken into custody. Both the actor and his girlfriend were questioned for hours by the team.
