With Coronavirus pandemic getting worse in the country with each passing day, the entertainment sector has been receiving hard hits from the nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of the deadly virus. While the theatres and multiplexes remain shut for almost half a year, OTT platforms have become a new normal for movie releases. Many big banner movies chose the digital route to premiere and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Bole Chudiyan is walking down the same aisle.

Nawazuddin’s previous releases, Ghoomketu and Raat Akeli Hai, were premiered on the OTT platforms and the latest report suggests that his next is seeking the same route instead of waiting for the situation to normalize. As per the sources close to the development of the movie, the makers are in talks with the video streaming giants to land a good deal for Bole Chudiyan‘s digital rights. However, an official announcement is yet to be made from the makers regarding the same which is expected to be out soon.

Earlier, the makers of the highly-anticipated lavish-budgeted movies including Laxmmi BombShakuntala DeviGulabo SitaaboSadak 2, and The Big Bull among others decided to make their movies available to watch over the OTT platforms. While exhibitors are waiting for a green signal from the government, the popular belief is that the audiences would not turn up in high numbers at the movie counters even if the theatres are reinstated in the upcoming ‘unlock’ phases.
