Renowned Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been put under home quarantine after he reaches his home in Budhana, Uttar Pradesh, for Eid celebrations amid the lockdown. The actor travelled with his family from Mumbai to his hometown to celebrate the festival with his extended family. The actor reportedly made his journey in a private vehicle with his family and underwent medical screenings at over 25 checkpoints.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui along with his family reached Budhana on the 15th of May and followed the mandatory precautionary measures for Coronavirus and underwent tests which came out negative. However, the reports suggest that the Sacred Games actor and his family has been put under 14-day home quarantine. Nawazuddin’s brother Ayazuddin informed that the actor is aware of the lockdown rules and has been following the necessary regulations for the Coronavirus pandemic.
On the work front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was last seen in the comedy-drama, Motichoor Chaknachoor, opposite Athiya Shetty which turned out to be a dud at the box office. While the entire entertainment industry is at a halt, OTT platform ZEE 5 released a teaser of its upcoming comedy-drama, Ghoomketu, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Ragini Khanna in the key roles.
The movie revolves around a small-town guy from an Uttar Pradesh village with a passion for writing and he runs away to Mumbai to try his luck in Bollywood. The movie also features cameos of Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh and Huma Qureshi while renowned filmmaker, Anurag Kashyap, played a major character in the comedy-drama. Helmed by Pushpendra Nath Misra, Ghoomketu premieres exclusively on ZEE 5 on the May 22.
