Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly ended his life on June 14 and created a social media furore. While the many shared their experiences with the late actor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui remained reluctant to talk about him until now. The Gangs Of Wasseypur actor broke his silence and stressed on his experiences with Sushant Singh Rajput.

Remembering Sushant Singh Rajput, Nawazuddin Siddiqui says the actor was full of life and a born conversationalist. “He liked to engage people in conversations. He could spin magic with words. You were simply charmed into being attentive when he held forth on any topic under the skin,” he said as he is still processing his demise. Siddiqui had met Rajput on several occasions and they felt like-minded. “I could feel his positive vibes every time we met. Which is why I found it hard to believe when he was suddenly gone. How could Sushant Singh Rajput be done with life? He was so full of life and ideas,” says Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

He further went on to praise Sushant’s selection of roles and called him ‘a big star’. The actor said that Sushant could have done the biggest of blockbusters but he chose to do Detective Byomkesh Bakshy and Sonchiriya as he wanted to experiment with characters and did what an artist would do. “He was driven by a passion for his work. Money meant nothing to him,” Nawazuddin adds. The Manto actor also expressed his disappointment in people who claim that the late actor was suffering from mental illnesses. “Who are these friends that are talking about him? Did they even know him?” he questioned.

Days ago, the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) took charge of the probe in Sushant Singh Rajput’s alleged suicide case and started interrogating prime suspects.
