Former Indian cricket team skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, is a household name for his achievements in the gentlemen’s sport and he also enjoys a gigantic fan following across the country and beyond. While the former cricket captain already has links with the Indian film industry as he actively promoted his biopic, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, he is reportedly all prepared to make his acting debut with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next.
According to media reports, Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be sharing the big screen for the first time as an actor with Thalapathy Vijay in the tentatively titled Thalapathy 67. The movie is likely to be helmed by noted filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj and it is being reported that the said movie will be a part of the popular Lokesh Cinematic Universe. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding the same from either party yet.
Earlier, it was also reported that the former skipper will be venturing into the Tamil film industry as a producer. It was also mentioned that the anticipated movie would feature Nayanthara as the female lead. It will be interesting to see if the two reported projects share a link or, in fact, are the same.
