Mowgli : Netflix Announces Indian Actors For Hindi Dub!

Netflix has collaborated with some great Bollywood actors to lend their voices for the Hindi-dub of its upcoming adventure fantasy movie ‘Mowgli: The legend of Jungle’.

Big names like Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff, got confirmed by Netflix on Tuesday.

Abhishek Bachchan will be the voice of ‘Bagheera’ , the black panther who was the protector of Mowgli, while Jackie Shroff will be the voice of ‘Sher Khan’ the antagonist. Kareena Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit will be taking on the characters of enigmatic Python Kaa and Wolf Nisha, respectively.  Anil Kapoor would be the voice of the adorable and cheerful bear Baloo.

Directed by ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Planet of Apes’ famed director Andy Serkis, ‘Mowgli: The Legend Of Jungle’ is an adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s magnum opus ‘The Jungle book’ that follows the story of a boy (Rohan Chand) raised by the pack of wolves in the jungles of India.

The English-version of the movie presents Christain Bail as the voice of Bagheera, Cate Blanchett, and Naomi Harris as python Kaa and wolf Nisha. The Serkis himself is the voice of Baloo.

Serkis’s Mowgli will have its world premiere in Mumbai on 25th of November. On being the voice of the comprehensively beloved fictional characters, the actors took their twitter handle to flaunt their excitement.
