After getting recognition in the television industry, Mouni Roy made her mark in the Bollywood industry as well. Well known for playing Naagin at the small screen, Mouni debuted in movies opposite Akshay Kumar in the superhit film Gold and went on to get critical acclaim for her performance in the movie Romeo Akbar Walter opposite John Abraham.
Mouni Roy is already working on her upcoming projects which includes Karan Johar’s Brahmashtra and Made in China opposite Rajkummar Rao. She also signed another movie, Bole Chudiyan, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead role and began principal photography for the same. However, the latest report is that Mouni Roy is no longer a part of this movie.
According to the producer, Rajesh Bhatia, the reason behind her exit from the movie was her unprofessionalism, but Mouni Roy has something else to say. Her spokesperson confirmed her exit from the film and stated the reason to be discrepancies in the movie contract. He claimed that Mouni never signed the entire contract because of the same and vouched for her professionalism in the industry.
Mouni had earlier stated her excitement to work with Nawazuddin Siddiqui but she will have to wait a little longer to work with him in the future. On the other hand, her replacement in the movie has not been finalized by the makers yet.
