Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been in the news lately for an ongoing investigation in a money laundering case where she allegedly plays a witness. The actress had appeared before the Enforcement Directorate on 30 August but she has been evading summons again and again ever since. Jacqueline was to appear before the agency on Monday but she skipped the summon from E.D. for the fourth time.
Jacqueline Fernandez has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate for questioning in a money laundering case registered by the promoters of Fortis Healthcare against the conman Sukesh Chandrasekar and his actor-wife Leena Paul. Jacqueline has been evading questioning by the agency for over a month owing to her professional commitment and had requested the agency to postpone her questioning till November. However, the agency asked her to appear on 18 October which she skipped for the fourth time in a row.
Earlier, Nora Fatehi was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in the same case and later the spokesperson of the actress had made an official announcement related to her questioning. In the statement, the actress claimed that she is not related to the fraudster in any manner. In fact, the spokesperson claimed that she is a victim in the extortion case and cooperating with the investigation agency to fasten the justice.
On the work front, Jacqueline is currently filming her next, Ram Setu, with Akshay Kumar in Ooty. “Feels great to be back on sets with team Ram Setu,” she had shared.
