American actor Tom Cruise is best known for his portrayal of fictional IMF agent, Ethan Hunt, in the successful Mission: Impossible franchise and the actor never fails to amaze his fans with the action-packed sequels. While the last instalment, Mission: Impossible – Fallout, was a great success at the box office, fans have been waiting for a follow-up in the upcoming instalments. At the recent CinemaCon in Las Vegas, the makers of the franchise revealed the title for the next part in the franchise and teased some stunts by lead, Tom Cruise.

At the annual gathering of theatre owners held at Ceasers Palace in Las Vegas, many production houses have announced or revealed details about anticipated projects and Tom Cruise starer Mission: Impossible 8 is the latest addition. At the event, the title of the upcoming instalment in the action spy franchise is revealed as ‘Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning – Part 1′, hinting that it will be a multi-part story and a possible finale to the franchise.

The lead actor Tom Cruise made an appearance during the presentation with a pre-recorded message from the sets of the Mission: Impossible 8. Introducing the trailer of Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning – Part 1, Cruise, standing on the biplane flying high above the mountains, said, “Sorry for the extra noise, as you can see, we are filming the latest instalment of Mission: Impossible… Making this film for the big screen in your wonderful theatres.”

The seventh instalment to the much-loved franchise is slated for a release on July 14 next year while the possibly last instalment to the franchise, Mission: Impossible 8, is due for a global release on June 28, 2024. With Tom Cruise headlining the team, the cast includes Rebecca Ferguson, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Angela Bassett, Cary Elwes, Indira Varma, Rob Delaney and Charles Parnell in key roles.
