Renowned singer Mika Singh is not new to controversies and recently he found himself in hot water after the All Indian Cine Workers Association banned and boycotted him from the entire film industry on Tuesday for performing in an event in Pakistan.
Indian singer Mika Singh had a performance at a high profile event organized in Karachi, Pakistan on 8 August. The event was reportedly organized by a close relative of former Pakistani military dictator, Parvez Musharraf. The president of All Indian Cine Workers Association, Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, released an official statement announcing the ban on the singer.
“AICWA workers will make sure that no one in ‘INDIA’ works with Mika Singh and if anyone does they will face legal consequences in the court of law,” reads the statement by Suresh. AICWA boycotts Mika’s associations with movie production houses, music composers, and online music content providers along with the ongoing contracts with the entertainment companies.
While Mika Singh has not put forward his views on the ban, Suresh Shyamlal Gupta mentioned that the ban is unconditional as the association puts nation above money or profession.
