Bollywood actor Sonu Sood turned out to the real-life hero for migrant workers who are stranded on the roads. The actor has been winning hearts for arranging buses for migrant workers and sending them to their homes. While Sood is helping the needy without any personal agenda, his good work has started to bring him good karma. The Simmba actor recently revealed that a pregnant migrant woman named her newborn after his name.

The actor is being loved across the country for his selfless stint to help the migrant workers reach their homes safely. However, the actor recently opened up about the love that he is receiving for his work and it is bigger than anything. In an interview with Anupama Chopra, Sonu Sood revealed that a migrant woman whom he helped reach home called him and said that she named her newborn baby after him. “I said, how can it be Sonu Sood as you are Shrivastav. It could probably be Sonu Shrivastav, but she said, ‘Nahi humney bachche ka naam Sonu Sood Shrivastav rakha hai (No, we named the baby Sonu Sood Shrivastav).’ That was so sweet; I was touched,” said the actor about his experience.

During the chat, Sood also talked about several instances when he helped the stranded workers reach their homes. “I was deeply saddened to see them walking with their little children on foot. These are the people who built our houses, our offices, they have laid the roads and I feel that we should not leave them in such distress,” added Sonu Sood when asked what made him take this call.

On the work front, Sonu Sood will next be seen opposite Akshay Kumar in the historical period-drama, Prithviraj, and will also play a crucial character in the Tamil actioner, Thamilarasan. While both the movies are at initial stages, we will have to wait for the actor to play the villain in reel-life as he is busy playing the hero in the real-life lockdown.
