American actor and film producer, Michael B. Jordan, is all prepared to start the next instalment of the popular Creed franchise as a director, which also marks his directorial debut. While the news was out for some time now, the actor has now confirmed stepping into the ring as a moviemaker.

Michael has played the lead character in the first two instalments of the Rocky spin-off franchise and the fans are eagerly waiting for the next chapter in the action movie series. While Michael has proved his mental as a tough boxer in the first two rounds, the actor is planning to get behind the camera for the third instalment and contribute more to the franchise.

“Directing has always been an aspiration, but the timing had to be right. Creed III is that moment – a time in my life where I’ve grown more sure of who I am, holding agency in my own story, maturing personally, growing professionally,” said Michael B. Jordan. “This franchise and in particular the themes of Creed III are deeply personal to me. I look forward to sharing the next chapter of Adonis Creed’s story with the awesome responsibility of being its director and namesake,” he concludes.

Featuring Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Creed, the third instalment also has Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad reprising their characters of Biance and Mary Anne Creed, respectively. The movie is slated for a release on November 23, 2022.
