After the blockbuster success of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ Manoj Bajpayee will be soon seen in an absolute different avatar in Dipesh Jain directed ‘Gali Guleiyan’ also called ‘In The Shadows’ internationally, with  Ranvir Shorey, Shahana Goswami, Neeraj Kabi in other pivotal roles.

Swiping most of the International festival awards in 2017, produced by Exstant Motion Pictures and distributed by PVR Pictures, ‘Gali Guleiyan’ is set for a commercial release in India on September 7.

Shot extensively in the claustrophobic and daunting maze like lanes of Chandini Chowk in Old Delhi, inspired by true events,  the movie is a psychological drama, wherein Manoj’s character Khuddoos is trapped within the city walls and desperately wants to get out.

In the trailer, Manoj can be seen hearing  a young boy Idris (Om Singh) and his mother (Sahana Goswami) crying out loud in pain across the walls as they are often subjected to physical abuse by Idris’s father (Neeraj Kabi). Set out to help him, Khuddoos installs camera in the lanes to capture the happenings, but fails to find anything.

Is it really the boy he wants to help or is he seeing himself in him? We have to wait to find out what actually happens in the movie. Watch the trailer to get a better sense of the Gali Guleiyan world.

One of the finest actors of Indian Cinema, Manoj knows how to strike the right balance between commercial masala movies Like ‘Baaghi 2’ ‘Satyamev Jayate’ and  very rooted realistic movies like ‘Aligarh’, ‘Gali Guleiyan’. The actor has always pushed his envelope with every project he takes up.

In his 25 year long career, shooting for this film has been the most taxing and mentally exhausting for him as per the actor. The film has received such rave reviews in the International festivals and with Manoj bagging the best actor awards in Film Festival Of Melbourne and New York International Film Festival, the excitement and expectations for the film is on a high.
