Telugu movie stars and real life husband-wife duo Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni are back with their fourth collaboration and this time its in a cliched, but an angsty romantic love set up in Shine Screens productions ‘Majili’.
The teaser of the much anticipated movie recently dropped in and has the fans of the real life couple super excited and thrilled as it would be their first movie post wedding that took place in October, 2017.
The movie chronicles around the character of an aspiring cricketer played by Chaitanya, who is all set to make it big in his career, but faces an emotional and professional set back as the love of his life played by new comer Divyansha Kaushik leaves him at the peak of their budding romance. Thus, begins the downward spiraling of his career, turning him into a brooding, angry young man who is later on married to a simple full of life girl played by Samantha.
Going by the teaser, Samantha is someone who doesn’t want to give up and wants to make their relationship work any how. She wants to reach out to her husband and help him come out of his shell. This surely comes across as a overly done concept, however, it would be interesting to see how the treatment of this narrative makes a difference.
For now we are loving the crackling chemistry Chaitanya is sharing with both the actresses on screen, of course, with his wife more. The official trailer is awaited.
Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the movie will be hitting the theatres on 5th April 2019.
