The fire in Amazon rainforest has become a global issue with more than 9,000 wildfires scorching delicate. The National Institute of Space Research (NISR) of Brazil reported more than 70 thousand fires across the rainforest. In the wake of the threats to the planet’s life support systems, Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio’s organisation Earth Alliance has come to aid.

Earth Alliance, created by Leonardo DiCaprio along with friends- Laurene Powell Jobs and Brian Sheth, have pledged to donate a total of 5 million American dollars to aid the Amazon rainforest amid raging fires. While DiCaprio merged his organisation, Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, with Earth Alliance last month to help preserve the planet, the fund will be donated to five different local organizations.

Earth Alliance led by Leonardo will be donating the 5 million dollars to Instituto Associacao Floresta Protegida (Kayapo), Coordination of the Indigenous Organizations of the Brazilian Amazon (COIAB), Instituto Kabu (Kayapo), Instituto Raoni (Kayapo), and Instituto Socioambiental (ISA) to aid the lungs of planet Earth.
