Member of one of the most successful composers duo, Wajid Khan, took his last breath last year after suffering a fatal heart attack. While the entire industry mourned the death of the legendary composer, his brother and member of the renowned duo, Sajid Khan, decided to change his name to Sajid-Wajid to pay tribute to his late brother. Now, Wajid Khan’s wife has moved to the court claiming that the reason to change the name was to usurp royalties of the LLP.

Kamalrukh Khan, wife of the late music composer, has moved to Bombay High Court regarding her husband’s will and sought a permanent injunction against Sajid Khan and his mother. Kamalrukh claims that Wajid named her and their children as the only beneficiaries in his property in his will. She also sought a permanent injunction restraining Wajid’s mother and brother from alienating her or claiming third-party rights in the property.

Kamalrukh further alleged that Sajid contacted all the societies where Wajid owned properties and asked them to ignore Kamalrukh. She also alleged that Sajid changed his name to Sajid-Wajid in order to benefit the goodwill and the contracts under the name of the superhit duo.

On the other hand, Sajid and his mother have claimed that Wajid allegedly desired to not give anything to his children or wife through a hibanama in 2020.
