The ‘nightingale’ of India, Lata Mangeshkar has been struggling with her health for quite some time now and last year, there were reports that the singer is in a critical condition. While Lata Mangeshkar came out in public and confirmed that she is fine and kicking, recent reports are not in her favor.
Lata Mangeshkar, who celebrated her 90th birthday in the month of September, was rushed to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Monday after she complained a severe chest pain. As informed by the doctors, the singer developed a severe infection and they are trying to bring it under control. Pratit Samdani, who is handling her case, earlier told, “Unless her infection gets under control, we cannot do any procedures. She is critical. It is difficult to say anything at this moment.”
Meanwhile, her family issued a statement about her health and said that her condition is stable at the moment and improving. Her niece Rachana Shah said, “Thank you very much for your prayers. We are awaiting her to be at her best so she can be home soon. Thank You for being with us and respecting our privacy.”
