Released early this year, Mohanlal starrer crime-dramaDrishyam 2, lived up to the expectations from the franchise and managed to claim its cult status. While the movie did great business at the box office, the makers of the Hindi version of Drishyam featuring Ajay Devgn in the lead have bought the remake rights of the second instalment as well.

The production banner of Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, Paranoma Studios International, has acquired the official Hindi remake rights of Drishyam 2 with the intention to recreate the success with the remake. “With the huge success of Drishyam 2, the story needs to be told with passion and commitment, and we as Producers are committed to that,” said Kumar Mangat on the Hindi remake.

Meanwhile, the producer of the original Malayalam-language Drishyam 2, Antony Perumbavoor, says that he can count on Paranoma Studios International to do justice to their movie in the Hindi remake. “We are happy that Panorama Studios International has acquired the rights for Drishyam 2 and I am certain the Production house will justify the film,” he said.

Earlier, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and Tabu played the key roles in the Hindi remake of Drishyam and we can expect the same casting taking forward the second instalment of the franchise.
