Many renowned faces in the Bollywood industry came under the radar of NCB when the ongoing investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput’s alleged suicide took an unexpected turn. Karan Johar’s former Dharmatic Entertainment executive producer, Kshitij Ravi Prasad, was arrested by NCB on September 26 for drug links and he has made serious accusations against the investigation agency.

NCB had conducted a raid on Kshitij Ravi Prasad’s residence and found a significant amount of contraband substances prior to questioning him. Post the interrogation, Kshitij was taken into custody by NCB for his connection with the alleged drug nexus in the Indian entertainment industry. Now, the former executive producer has alleged that NCB forced him to implicate renowned producer Karan Johar in the case. His lawyer Satish Maneshinde alleges that his client was blackmailed and harassed by NCB officials during the interrogation.

In an interaction with a media portal, Satish Maneshinde has claimed that Kshitij Ravi Prasad was told by NCB officer Sameer Wankhede that they would let go Kshitij if he falsely implicates Karan Johar and some others. “Kshitij refused to comply with this despite the pressure being mounted on him as he did not know any of these people personally and did not wish to falsely implicate anyone,” he added.

Meanwhile, Sameer Wankhede has denied such claims and stated that many accuses end up making such allegations. On the other hand, NCB Deputy DG said that the investigation is being carried out in a professional manner and there is no intended target apart from what is revealed during the probe. “The allegations (by Prasad) are absolutely untrue,” he further added.
