Krrish franchise is one of the most successful superhero series in the Indian film industry with Hrithik Roshan in the lead role. While the first three instalments of the franchise were loved by the audience, it was announced by the director Rakesh Roshan that the fourth movie is in works.

However, owing to the poor health of the director, the project was put on hold. Rakesh Roshan was diagnosed with an early stage of squamous cell carcinoma in his throat. Now that he is recovering after the surgery, he is keen on making Krrish 4.

During the promotional events of War, Hrithik Roshan said that his father is better now and is back to the grind. If the grapevines have to be believed, the fourth instalment to the franchise will be bigger and better than the previous parts and after the release of great VFX movies lately, the makers are keen on making it a grand movie.

The reports also suggest that the movie might be helmed by Kaabil director Sanjay Gupta. While Hrithik Roshan will take the Krrish mantle forward, the rest of the cast is yet to be finalized.
