The Matrix franchise has been one of the most loved and widely popular movie series in the global entertainment market. The trilogy helmed by Wachowskis gained critical and commercial success around the globe and made a name for Keanu Reeves, who led each part of the franchise.

It’s been two decades since the epic cyberpunk story began and one of the directors, Lana Wachowski, is writing the fourth instalment of the movie which is expected to be helmed by her as well. “Many of the ideas Lilly and I explored 20 years ago about our reality are even more relevant now. I’m very happy to have these characters back in my life and grateful for another chance to work with my brilliant friends,” Lana said in an interview.

Matrix Trilogy

While the fourth part in the action series is on the cards, Keanu Reeves is all prepared to reprise his character of Neo alongside Trinity played by Carrie-Anne Moss. The plot of the upcoming movie has been kept under wraps so far which has to be produced by Warner Bros Pictures in association with Village Roadshow Pictures.

Creating a buzz already, the movie is expected to go on floors by the next year only.
