Zee Entertainment’s ‘Zee5’ will soon be premiering Kartik Aryan and Meher Mistry starrer ‘Silvat’, a short film on their digital platform.
Bollywood’s newest Hearthrob, shot for this Tanuja Chandra’s 2016 short film ‘Silvat’ alongside theater artist Meher Mistry, while shooting for Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 . The film has travelled through various film festivals and garnered lot of appreciation.
The story of ‘Silvat’ chronicles around the character of Noor, a married woman played by Meher whose husband is working abroad and hasn’t met her for five long years and Anwar played by Kartik, a young soft spoken Muslim tailor, who is attracted to her, but fears of his feelings not being reciprocated.
Their life takes a turn when Noor who is irrevocably in love with the Anwar, musters up the courage to express her feelings to him, but a phone call from her husband brings her crashing back to reality. Now will Noor succumb to the imposed societal restrictions or let her heart make the way for her?, is for the viewers to find out.
It would be the first time one would see Kartik playing a very subdued, coy and non jovial character. This 42 minute short film written by Faraz Arif Ansari will be premiering on 7th September 2018 on Zee 5.
