Kartik Aaryan and T Series have built a strong box office partnership over the years, and the duo is now gearing up for yet another collaboration. After delivering successful films like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, they are set to reunite for the much talked about Captain India.
The upcoming film, which is written and produced by Harman Baweja, has now welcomed T Series as a co-producer. According to sources, the production house was impressed by the story, Kartik’s casting and the involvement of director Shimit Amin. With recce work already completed, the film is expected to go on floors in the second quarter of 2026. Reports suggest that the shoot will take place across locations in India and Morocco.
Captain India also marks the return of Shimit Amin after a long gap of seventeen years. The filmmaker made a memorable debut with Ab Tak Chhappan in 2004, followed by the widely loved Chak De India in 2007, starring Shah Rukh Khan. His last directorial venture was Rocket Singh Salesman Of The Year in 2009, which did not perform well commercially at the time but later earned a cult following.
Interestingly, Captain India was first announced in 2021 with Hansal Mehta attached as director. The project has since evolved, and Amin has now stepped in to helm it.
Kartik Aaryan is also working on an untitled musical drama directed by Anurag Basu, which is scheduled for release in the second half of 2026. Currently, Kartik is busy shooting for Naagzilla, directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and he also has a film with Kabir Khan lined up.
With Captain India bringing together Kartik Aaryan, T Series and Shimit Amin, expectations are naturally high. The film promises to be an exciting addition to the actor’s growing lineup.
