Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan is currently at the pinnacle of his acting career with a list of movies under his belt for competition. While the actor is currently filming a sequel to the popular horror-comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, while his recently wrapped film, Dhamaka, is under post-production. Meanwhile, Kartik is reported to be walking out of Dharma Production’s Dostana 2.
Karan Johar had announced a sequel to his popular comedy-drama, Dostana, with Kartik Aaryan sharing the screen with Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya Lalvani. The movie went on the floors in 2019 and Kartik filmed for 20 days before the production was halted in March last year due to the pandemic. While the movie was to resume production early this year, there have been no developments so far and the latest reports suggest that the makers are now looking for a replacement for Kartik Aaryan.
According to a source close to the production of Dostana 2, Kartik Aaryan has expressed his disagreement with the script of the movie and not able to allocate the requested dates for the shoot. Following the creative differences with the makers of the comedy-drama, the reports suggest that Kartik is likely to exit the project and the makers are already looking for another actor to fill in.
The reports also suggest that filmmaker Karan Johar’s production house Dharma Productions has decided to never work with Kartik Aaryan in its future projects as a result of the current dispute.
