The fashion show was held on 1st September 2019 at The Grand Bhagwati Palace, Indore. Feronia Fashion Night is an initiative to raise awareness on the very sensitive topic of gender equality and LBTQ inclusiveness. It is a first of its kind event that showcases Androgynous Fashion – A form of fashion that focuses on breaking the archaic gender stereotype.
Feronia Fashion Night is the only event in India that features all the models from the LGBTQ community providing the models with a platform to showcase their talents and get further opportunities. The event featured collections from top fashion designers from India and around the world including names like the legendary fashion designer Wendell Rodricks who presented a mesmerizing collection named Rainbow warriors as an ode to the victory of the LGBTQ community on the issue of section 377.
Karan Mehra is one of the leading models of India. Hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Karan has not only walked the ramp for different domestic and international brands but also worked in web-series and reality shows on MTV. He is currently working on a reality show on Sony.
With legendary Indian and international designers providing their collections, Karan hopes that the runaway of Feronia establishes his name in the fashion world and seeing him walk on that stage, no one can dare to disagree.
